He captured our family beautifully in two amazing portraits at Laguna Beach while the sun was setting; and notably, he did this with our 2 young girls (3 & 5) who were more interested in playing than taking pictures. Any photographer will tell you it's "really" difficult to do a sunset shoot because of the small window of time to shoot. Add kids to the mix and it's usually spells disaster. Mark (and his wife, Kari) were both very kind and patient, yet completely in control through the entire process. "Our first family portrait with Mark Jordan was a creative rendition of our original family - but I presented him with a daunting challenge: I desired to have a traditional studio portrait in formal attire, but the boys wanted a casual portrait session at the beach. It was Mark who did not flinch and suggested we could have both! Today, our beautiful piece of art portrays us on the beach with me sitting comfortably at a linen draped table, dressed in a flowing gown, holding a flute of champagne, while my “beach boys” are standing next to me at the water’s edge, alongside their surfboards, clad in wetsuits! Everyone has commented that our family portrait is the most unusual beach portrait they have ever seen - we have loved it for years!

Several years later came our wonderful daughter, who was conspicuously left out of our first family portrait. It was time to again rely on Mark. However, I was unaware that he had moved to Rancho Santa Margarita - I literally had to hunt him down. I am here to tell you, Mark was worth the hunt!

We decided once again on a beach portrait, but this time with a harmonious, casual theme. Still, I still presented Mark with another challenge: the window of opportunity where the whole family was together was extremely tight. Yet Mark pulled everything off with patience and good cheer! Our new family portrait is stunning, replete with crashing waves, seagulls flying by, and all awash in the gorgeous setting sunlight! Thank you Mark for a lifetime of memories and blessings!"
